There are a number of avenues to help you explore job opportunities in the South Okanagan. BC is served by 5 regional health authorities - this region is served by Interior Health, which is the publicly funded arm of the health system that operates hospitals, health units, mental health and addictions care, residential facilities.
Interior Health is where the bulk of the jobs will be listed for the South Okanagan region. Interior Health values diversity and has, for example, gone through a process to meet the standards for a Rainbow Registered employer.
Some services, such as cancer care, pain clinics, and other specialty care, is offered through the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and they also list open healthcare career opportunities on their site (select “Kelowna” for jobs in this region).
The Province of BC is actively streamlining credentialing and steps toward immigration.
