Penticton is home to vibrant arts and entertainment options, from galleries to public lectures to performing arts and hockey games! There are a variety of regional museums and community organizations that offer opportunities to learn about the Syilx Okanagan people’s culture and language and the history of the region.

❄️ Apex Mountain Resort is about 30 kilometers from Penticton. Big White and Silver Star are within easy driving distance, giving access to world-class downhill skiing and the Okanagan’s famous “champagne powder.” There are many snow shoe and cross-country trails in the area. Of course, curling is also a national past-time in the winter months. Penticton is home to the Penticton Vees in the Western Hockey League.

Penticton Parks and Recreation offers a variety of sports leagues and accessible recreational for adults and programs for children and adults year-round.

☀️ Regional and Provincial Parks are free for day visits and offer plentiful options for overnight camping. The Okanagan is home to many lakes and rivers, ideal for paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking. Hiking trails of all levels abound. Dog parks and dog beaches are plentiful.
